I used to think nothing REALLY bad would ever happen to me or anyone in my family. Then slowly things start happening and you don't realize it until you sit down and think about it.
Some days I feel extraordinarily lucky to KNOW that Will isn't going to be here for forever. We've been given the bittersweet gift of time. Time to get to know Will, time to say goodbye, time to make memories, time to get angry, time to laugh...
I watched this video today and realized that these families didn't have that luxury.

Nothing on my phone or your phone is that important to take away the gift of time to another family. If you notice a slower response time on my end, you'll know why.
Agreed! XO
ReplyDeleteI hate to text when not driving. I don't like even having to call someone because it is hard to find a number on my phone or dial it while I am driving. I don't mind answering but I have bluetooth which is answered by a button on my steering column. Texting while driving is bad, bad, bad and I hope everyone see this!

Lori,
ReplyDeleteYou continue to amaze me with your perspective. To see the blessings in your life with so so much on your shoulders. It humbles me, truly. And this message may have saved a life already. As much as I abhor driving texters, I find myself peeking at email or facebook at stop lights, which is a step on the way. Will stop completely after watching this. The kid who hit the bicyclist in particular really hurt my heart. I am forwarding this to all my coworkers today, and will "Share" on FB tonight.
Big hugs to you!
Beth
P.S. I hope Will has managed to avoid the latest round of creeping crud. Vincent has a junky cough right now. Tell Will not to play with him! Vince won't take it personally, and we're only in school 3 more days until the Fall semester.
